Pregnant people very welcome. Non-mobile babies welcome. Â These sessions are NOT appropriate for older babies, toddlers and children to attend with you. Â This group is NOT for birthing partners.
The group is made up of pregnant people and people who have birthed a baby or babies (all birth experiences welcomed), it does not matter if this was two weeks ago or decades have past, vaginal or belly births! The group meets for 2hrs hours together at a regular time.
Each session is guided by a different journaling exercise to encourage exploration of creativity, emotions and experiences - using the Maternal Journal resources. Â I provide art materials.
Journaling in a group is a great way to share what you have experieneced or are going through in a safe space and to connect with other people.
Please be aware that strong feelings can emerge during the group workshops, and they are not recommended for people with a history of severe mental illness.
'Maternal Journal is a global community movement.
We share creative tools and techniques to support the huge changes, joys and challenges we go through in pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
We've worked with some incredible artists, therapists, doulas and friends to make beautiful journaling resources for you to use.
Each step-by-step activity shows you how to make something for your journal. Choose from styles including poetry and prose writing to drawing and painting – all designed to fit in with the busy life of a parent.
We provide an inclusive and safe space for anyone who has experienced pregnancy, given birth, identifies as a mother or as a woman or non-binary carer.'Â
