Standard Carrying Consultation

Service Description

This is an in person, face to face consultation, or live video session: you decide which. The price includes car travel expenses within 15 minutes of Southsea, Portsmouth. I charge 55p/mile round trip from my home in Southsea (PO4 8BZ) if you live outside the radius. A zoom link is automatically created upon booking, however this does not have to be used. The 1.5 hour consultation is ideal if you're new to baby carrying and you would like one to one, in-depth support and information. It will be uniquely adapted to your needs. In any Doula Sophy carrying consultations babywearing/sling use safety information will always be covered. If you already own a sling/carrier you will be assisted to use it comfortably and safely. The consultation will include demonstrations and information on the different slings you may be interested in, only if you so wish of course, showing you a range of suitable options. The pros and cons of the options available to you will also be explored, allowing you to make informed choices. If this service has to be remote it is possible to split the time in two. One 45 minute session prior to you hiring or purchasing a sling/carrier, or prior to your baby's (or babies') arrival and another 45 minute session, for you to try the item on with me on hand to assist and troubleshoot. All carrying consultations offer, optional hire is available at £30 for four weeks (the most popular option), £20 for two weeks or £10 for one week. I do not take a deposit for in person collections. If I am posting the item out to you a deposit may be required and you will need to pay for postage. The opportunity to purchase slings/carriers is also available during the service. Hello! This is my booking page and I am very pleased you're visiting. Please be aware that as a birth and postnatal doula I sometimes have to make unplanned arrangements for birth and postnatal clients, that will not be shown here. This may mean I need to reschedule your appointment at the last minute. I thank you for your patience and understanding if this is the case with your appointment. If you need to reschedule please contact me with at least 24 hrs notice where possible.
