In relation to my doula package work, with sufficient notice of engagement, you will receive a personalised written contract that we will agree upon. Paying your deposit payment makes this a binding contract.
In relation to my consultations and any services bookable from this website without any initial chat; these services are non-refundable e.g. A Standard 1.5 hour Carrying Consultation. Please see the terms and conditions of each specific service. If you pre-book a block of my hours, these may only be cancelled and potentially, partially refunded if it becomes apparent that a client and I are unable to work together directly after the ‘initial free chat’.
I welcome feedback on the services I provide. I aim to send out a feedback evaluation form to all clients after providing services, this is anonymised. You are also welcome to leave reviews and any recommendations on the Doula Sophy social media Facebook and Instagram platforms, as well as Google business ratings and reviews.
I aim to provide the best possible service for my clients. However, I understand that sometimes you may believe that your requirements for assistance have not been met. If you do have any complaints or concerns regarding a service I have provided you with, then you are entitled to my explanation.
You may make a complaint in writing. Any complaint should be directly from my client or from an authorised person on my client's behalf.

Which types of your data do I collect and how long will I keep it?
By using this website you are consenting to these terms: We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. In addition, we collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information and purchase history. We may use software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. We also collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, password, communications); payment details (including credit card information), comments, feedback, product reviews, recommendations, and personal profile.
During my work with you, I may be documenting details of our conversations for my own reference & records. I store all electronic client personal details on a secure computer system, and any written notes in a locked secure cabinet, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
How do you collect information?
Your personal contact details, when you initiate contact with me, via the contact form on this website or by texting or emailing me. My email accounts and all electronic devices are password protected. Whilst communicating with you, or working for you I may collect additional information, e.g. your home address or your estimated due date regarding a pregnancy etc; all information will be saved securely for 7 years for insurance purposes. All data is destroyed after 7 years unless you have opted for having continued communications from me, in which case it remains secure as stated above. When you conduct a transaction on our website, as part of the process, we collect personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used for the specific reasons stated above only.
What is the data I collect used for?
The data I collect from you is used for any ongoing work with you for my reference and ability to communicate with you; as a record of my work for insurance purposes and for my tax returns; recording the dates of my work and how much I got paid. I do not share any of your personal data, including contact details without your explicit consent, in relation to my work as your doula.

Doula Sophy website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
